Protest against deportation and migration defense agreements

On 11/11/2017 there will be a bus demo to several African embassies and the GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit). The background to this is the increasingly brutal Valetta Process, with which the EU not only wants to close the flight and migration routes from African countries, but also to massively force deportations from Europe. We must take to the streets against this policy – immediately, loudly and with many!

[Save the date // Stop Valetta: Bus demo on November 11, 2016 (Friday) to several African embassies and the GIZ in Berlin // Please forward]

Hello to the round,

as Afrique-Europe-Interact we would like to ask again explicitly for support of a bus demo that will take place on November 11 in front of several African embassies and the GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit). The background to this is the increasingly brutal Valetta Process, with which the EU not only wants to close the flight and migration routes from African countries, but also to massively force deportations from Europe. Accordingly, at the most recent meeting of EU heads of state and government on October 21, 2016, it was decided to implement so-called mobility partnerships with, among others, the African countries Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Mali and Ethiopia as quickly as possible. In doing so, the EU Commission said a “mix of positive and negative incentives” should be used to “reward the efforts of countries willing to cooperate effectively with the EU on migration control and to ensure consequences for those that refuse to do so.”

We must take to the streets against this policy – immediately, loudly and with many! Because the fact is that these measures will not stop the refugees and migrants, but will make their situation extremely worse: Even more people will die on the increasingly dangerous escape routes, and violence will increase, not least against women and girls. In addition, the costs for the traffickers will increase, which will once again exacerbate the social crisis in the countries of origin. The deportation terror in Europe is no less dramatic. Not only does it violate the rights of refugees and migrants, but their families and friends are also negatively affected in social and economic terms.

Against this background, Afrique-Europe-Interact – together with other groups – will demonstrate on November 11 (i.e. on the anniversary of the Valetta Summit) in Berlin on the one hand in front of the embassies of Niger, Mali and Morocco, and on the other hand in front of the GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit). We want to demonstrate in front of the African embassies because the governments in Africa are the only ones who can still stop the EU. However, this presupposes that they do not allow themselves to be blackmailed or even bought, which unfortunately still happens far too often. We are protesting in front of the GIZ because it not only carries out state development projects, but is also responsible for the expansion of the border regime in Sudan and Eritrea, among other places. In addition, state development cooperation is increasingly being made conditional on active support for EU migration policy. With this in mind, we call on GIZ to say a loud and clear “NO” to this as well.

We have rented a double-decker bus with 70 seats for November 11. Everyone is welcome – participation is free (although donations are welcome). Meeting point is 9:30 a.m. at Oranienplatz in Kreuzberg, from there we will drive to the individual embassies and to the GIZ. The whole thing lasts until about 4pm, but of course not everyone has to do the whole route:

09.30 – 10.15: Meeting point Oranienplatz

11:00 a.m.: Rally in front of the Nigerien Embassy: Machnower Straße 24, 14165 Berlin

12:30 p.m.: Rally in front of the Malian Embassy: Kurfürstendamm 72, 10709 Berlin

14:00: Rally in front of the Moroccan Embassy: Niederwallstraße 39, 10117 Berlin

3 p.m.: Rally in front of the GIZ: Reichpietschufer 20, 10785 Berlin

From 16:30: Dinner and public wrap-up meeting in Kreuzberg or Neukölln

With this in mind, anyone who would like a place on the bus, please contact us briefly so that we can plan better: nolagerbremen@yahoo.de. If there is a lot of interest, we can also organize more places in cars.

In preparation for the rallies, Afrique-Europe-Interact also invites you to two information events, which are primarily aimed at migrants from Mali: On 31.10.2016 at 16 clock in Halle (Ludwigstr. 37) and on 01.11. at 5 pm in Magdeburg (Schellingstr. 3 // Eine Welt-Haus).

Stop deportation terror! For global freedom of movement!

The reason is the soi-disant “process of the Valette, which is in the process of brutalizing itself more and more – not only to close the trajets of refugees and migrants coming from African countries, but also to massively reinforce the expulsions of Europe. In this context, the Heads of State of the European Union(s) decided at their last meeting on October 21, 2016, to promote such “partnerships for mobility”, among others with the African states of Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Mali and Ethiopia, as soon as possible. According to the Commission de l’UE, il faut appliquer une “mixture de stimulants positifs et négatifs” pour “honorer les efforts des pays qui sont prêts à coopérer d’une facon efficace pour le contrôle migratoire avec l’UE, et pour rassurer des conséquences pour ceux qui refusent le.”

Nous devons nous mobiliser dans la rue contre cette politique – immédiatement et à nombreuses et nombreux! It is certain that these measures will not stop migrants, but will greatly aggravate their situation: even more people will die on the roads, which are becoming more and more dangerous, and violence will increase, especially against women and girls.

We protest against the GIZ because it does not only carry out development projects, but is also responsible for the reinforcement of the frontal regime, for example in Soudan and the East.

12:30h: Manifestation devant l’ambassade malienne: Kurfürstendamm 72, 10709 Berlin

14:00h: Manifestation devant l’ambassade marocaine: Niederwallstraße 39, 10117 Berlin

[Save the date // Stop Valetta: Bus-demonstration 11 of november 2016 (friday) going to several African embassies and to the GIZ in Berlin// please spread this information )

Hello everybody,

as Afrique-Europe-Interact we want once more explicitly ask you for the support of a bus demonstration, which will take place on the 11th of November in front of several African embassies and the GIZ. The background is the Valetta process, which is becoming more and more violent and with which the EU does not only want to close the flight and migration routes in African countries, but also massively push deportations from Europe. Corresponding to this it was decided at the latest meeting of the EU Heads of state and governments on the 21st of October 2016, to implement the so-called migration partnerships with among others the African states Niger, Nigeria. Senegal, Mali and Ethiopia as quickly as possible. According to the EU-Comission one should do this with a “mixture of positive and negative stimulations”, in order to “reward the efforts of those countries, which are willing to effectively work together with the EU, and in order to make sure that there are consequences for those, who refuse this”.

We have to go on the streets against such politics – immediately, loud and with many! Because it is a fact, that these measures do not stop the refugees and migrants, but extremely aggravate their situation. More people will die on the refugee routes, which are becoming more and more dangerous; the violence will also increase, not least against women and girls; in addition the costs for the traffickers will increase, which will once more exacerbate the situation in the countries of origin. Not less dramatic is the deportation terror in Europe. It does not only violate the rights of refugees and migrants, also their families and friends are extremely negatively affected in social and economic regards.

It is against this background, that on the 11th of November (that means on the anniversary of the Valetta summit) Afrique-Europe-Interact – together with other groups – will as well demonstrate in front of the embassies of Niger, Mali and Morocco as in front of the GIZ (German Society for International Cooperation). We want to demonstrate in front of the African embassies, because the governments in Africa are the only ones who can still stop the EU. But only if they do not let themselves be blackmailed or even bought, which unfortunately still happens much too often. In front of the GIZ we will demonstrate because the GIZ does not only operate state development projects, but is also responsible for the expansion of the border regime for example in Sudan and Eritrea. In addition, the state development aid is increasingly attached to the condition to actively support the EU migration politics. In this sense we ask the GIZ, to say loud and clearly “NO” also in this country.

For the 11th of november we have rented a double-decker bus with 70 seats. All are welcome – the participation is for free (donations are completely welcome however). Meeting point is 9.30 a.m. at Oranienplatz in Kreuzberg. From there we will drive to the different embassies and the GIZ. The event will last until about 4 p.m., but of course not all have to participate in the whole tour:

09:30h – 10:15h: Meeting at Oranienplatz

11:00h: Manifestation in front of the Nigerien embassy: Machnower Straße 24, 14165 Berlin

12:30h: Manifestation in front of the Malian embassy: Kurfürstendamm 72, 10709 Berlin

14:00h: Manifestation in front of the Moroccan embassy: Niederwallstraße 39, 10117 Berlin

15.00h: Manifestation in front of the GIZ: Reichpietschufer 20, 10785 Berlin

16:30h: Lunch and public discussion event in Kreuzberg or Neukölln

In this sense: Who wants to have a place in the but please get in contact with us, so that we can easily plan: nolagerbremen@yahoo.de (if wanted more places in cars are available).

Furthermore Afrique-Europe-Interact is inviting to two information events, who mainly address migrants from Mali: On the 31st of october 2016 at 4.p.m in Halle (Ludwigstr. 37) and on the 1st of november at 5 p.m. in Magdeburg (Schellingstr. 3 // Eine Welt-Haus).

Stop deportation terror! For global freedom of movement!
