About Us
glokal e.V. is a Berlin-based nonprofit organization dedicated to education and counseling that challenges power structures. We have been active in political youth education and
adult education since 2006. We have been a registered nonprofit organization recognized as a public benefit organization since 2008.
A fundamental component of our seminars and educational events is North-South relations, which, in our view, remain shaped to this day primarily by their colonial history and the asymmetrical and racialized power dynamics rooted in it. The starting point for our work is therefore a decolonial and power-critical perspective on global, intra-societal, and interpersonal relationships.
Our goal is to encourage people to critically examine their own positions in Germany and in a global context, and to identify possible courses of action.
